Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor

About the role

Oxford Learning is looking for enthusiastic part‑time teachers/tutors to work with elementary students (Kindergarten to Grade 9) at its Simcoe learning centre. You will deliver pre‑planned lessons, support up to three students at a time and help them build confidence in language and math.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to three students simultaneously, following Oxford Learning’s curriculum and teaching philosophy.
• Provide instruction during after‑school/evening hours (Mon‑Thu 4 pm‑8 pm) and Saturday mornings (10 am‑1 pm).
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily communication updates for each student.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and supportive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (fourth‑year university students with tutoring experience are welcome).
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten‑to‑Grade 9 curriculum.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring at the elementary level.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage up to three students per session.
• Reliability, willingness to commit through the school year (summer continuation preferred), and ability to commute to Simcoe.
• Successful vulnerable‑sector screening.
