Part-Time Custodian & Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Latitude Air Ambulance is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented part‑time Custodial & Maintenance Assistant to keep its facilities and aircraft clean and safe. You will work alongside Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and the Facilities team in a dynamic aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain office spaces, hangars, crew areas, washrooms, kitchens and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize surfaces and restock cleaning supplies.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Assist with seasonal grounds work such as snow removal and outdoor cleanup.
• Support Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with non‑certified tasks, including interior/exterior cleaning and basic surface preparation.
• Perform sanding, masking, priming and finishing of aircraft structures while following safety standards.
• Help with aircraft positioning, hangar organization and shop cleanliness.
• Report facility maintenance concerns and safety hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn aviation‑related maintenance tasks.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lb and perform physical activities such as standing, walking and bending.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearances if required.
