Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2

At Hot Topic, we’re passionate about music, pop culture, and creating an amazing in‑store experience. We’re looking for a Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to help lead the loudest store in West Edmonton Mall, supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales, recruiting and development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales and comp sales goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Drive customer engagement through product promotion, social media, BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Oversee operational tasks including shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate scheduling.
• Communicate retail trends and customer feedback to leadership and HQ partners.
• Analyze sales reports and use data to guide strategies for meeting targets.
• Merchandise the store according to planograms and launch promotions on schedule.
• Foster a high‑performing, customer‑focused team in partnership with the Store Manager.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary degree is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead teams, handle recruiting, operations, and scheduling.
• Strong communication, time‑management and professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast‑changing retail environment and lift merchandise up to 50 lb.
