Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2

About the role

Hot Topic is looking for a Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to support the Store Manager in delivering an energetic in‑store experience. You will help drive sales, recruit and develop a passionate team, and ensure smooth daily operations at the Sudbury location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in meeting sales and comp‑sales goals, using reports and data to shape strategy.
• Recruit, train and retain a collaborative team, fostering a customer‑first culture.
• Promote new products and engage customers through social media, BOPIS, and curbside pickup.
• Oversee operational tasks such as shrink/loss prevention, payroll, scheduling and associate hours.
• Maintain visual standards by merchandising according to planograms and launching promotions on time.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience, preferably in music or pop‑culture retail.
• Strong communication, time‑management and professionalism skills.
• Experience with recruiting, scheduling, payroll and merchandising processes.
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education is a plus.
• Ability to handle fast‑changing retail environment and lift merchandise up to 50 lb.
