Part-time Administrative Assistant – Healthcare Interpretation Coordination

About the role
This part‑time position supports a health‑equity clinic by coordinating interpretation services so patients and providers can communicate across multiple languages. The role is hybrid, with two days per week on‑site in downtown Toronto and the remainder remote.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate interpretation service requests by liaising with external agencies and internal clinical teams.
- Monitor shared inboxes and ensure rapid turnaround of incoming requests.
- Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets with scheduling information.
- Confirm appointments with physicians, interpreters, and clinic staff to guarantee seamless service delivery.
- Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, arrange replacements, and manage appointment changes.
- Support a high‑volume workflow while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Required profile
- 2+ years of administrative or coordination experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is an asset.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet tracking.
