Paralegal – Legal Operations

About the role

Article is looking for a proactive Paralegal to join its lean Legal team in Vancouver. You will act as the operational engine that keeps corporate governance, compliance, and contract administration running smoothly across retail, e‑commerce, and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain corporate records, registries, minute books, and resolutions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Support corporate compliance, including extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations and annual filings.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and commercial law matters.
• Assist with contract administration by updating tickets, logging statuses, and keeping the contract management system accurate.
• Review standard templates and basic agreements under guidance of the Head of Legal.
• Help manage privacy and data‑compliance initiatives (PIPEDA, CASL) in partnership with the Head of Legal.
• Coordinate intellectual property portfolio activities, such as trademark filings.

Required profile

• Strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Commercially minded with the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product, Finance, People, and Operations.

Required skills

• Experience with corporate governance and regulatory filing processes.
• Familiarity with privacy legislation such as PIPEDA and CASL.
• Basic knowledge of contract administration and document review.
