Paralegal – Corporate Governance Support

About the role

The Paralegal will join the Legal Affairs Governance team within the Corporate Secretary’s Office of National Bank. You will play a key role in supporting the Board of Directors and its committees, ensuring smooth operational coordination, regulatory compliance, and effective document management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of Board of Directors and committee meetings, collaborate with management, attend meetings and draft minutes.
• Draft, review, and follow up on legal, corporate and regulatory documents.
• Implement best practices in corporate governance and perform filings with regulatory authorities.
• Analyze regulatory requirements applicable to the Board and ensure compliance.
• Maintain and update corporate databases and records.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support administrative tasks such as invoicing and file tracking.

Required profile

• Three‑year college diploma (DEC) or equivalent in a related field.
• At least three years of experience in corporate governance or a similar legal environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills, rigor and attention to detail.
• Fluency in French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
