Outbound Lead Development Representative (Calgary)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an Outbound Lead Development Representative to join its Canadian team in Calgary. In this role you will drive growth by proactively reaching out to new and existing prospects, uncovering business needs and aligning them with AVEVA’s industrial software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting via phone, email and social media.
• Partner with sales, marketing and technical teams to align on territory priorities and account strategies.
• Research target accounts to identify decision‑makers, personalize outreach and uncover potential challenges.
• Use Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to manage activities and maintain accurate CRM data.
• Develop a solid understanding of AVEVA’s solutions to clearly articulate value propositions.
• Consistently meet or exceed metrics for outreach activity, qualified opportunities and pipeline development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of outbound sales or business development experience in a B2B environment, preferably SaaS or industrial technology.
• Proven ability to strategically prospect, identify target accounts and craft personalized outreach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in cold calling.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to handle objections while maintaining high‑volume outreach.
• Self‑starter with a collaborative, goal‑oriented and positive approach.
