Operations Supervisor – Rail Transit

About the role

Transdev Canada is looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead the Hazel McCallion Line team in Brampton, Ontario. The role combines hands‑on supervision of transit staff with responsibility for meeting contractual performance standards and ensuring safe, courteous service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of transit personnel and manage contractual obligations.
• Maintain schedule adherence and on‑time performance across the line.
• Supervise hourly and regular staff, onboarding new operators to policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and customer‑service standards.
• Act as Incident Commander during emergencies, coordinating restoration activities with internal teams and external agencies.
• Liaise with Maintenance to guarantee continuous service within agreement parameters.
• Operate Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) for revenue and non‑revenue trips and manage service‑disruption incidents.
• Prepare reports, recommendations, and documentation related to performance, safety, and policy improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising transit or rail operations staff.
• Strong knowledge of contractual compliance, safety regulations, and customer‑service expectations.
• Ability to lead incident response and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility standards (OHRC, AODA).

Required skills
