Operations Supervisor – Exports

About the role

DHL Express is seeking an Operations Supervisor (Exports) for its Scarborough facility. The role involves hands‑on leadership of the team handling daily export, clearance and transit of packages and freight, ensuring cost‑effective, accurate and on‑time distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely departure of aircraft each day, maintaining freight security and proper loading.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as forwarders, customs and internal departments.
• Coordinate daily export material with the debrief/supervisor team.
• Establish and implement productivity, quality and cost measurement strategies.
• Coach, support and provide feedback to team members, recognizing performance against goals.
• Guarantee accurate inbound and outbound freight distribution in line with standards.
• Maintain staff permits, air‑operation audits and safety compliance.
• Prepare accurate reports for management, including schedules, attendance, recruitment, dangerous‑goods incidents and load quality.
• Implement and sustain scanning technology across operations.
• Maintain a proactive safety program compliant with legislation and collective agreements.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, stocked and equipment is in safe, efficient condition for each shift.
