Operations Manager – Warehouse & Distribution

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee daily activities at a distribution centre, ensuring that all key performance indicators are met while maintaining high standards for safety, sustainability and facility management. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations & Solutions, this role leads multiple functional areas including receiving, shipping, inventory control, value‑added services and returns.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational KPIs to achieve efficiency, accuracy and service excellence.
• Plan staffing and workforce needs across all departments.
• Allocate resources and measure productivity to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
• Uphold company policies, cost‑control initiatives and quality standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for continuous improvement.
• Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and direct reports.
• Manage billing, contract protocols and labour alignment with P&L.
• Oversee building and material handling equipment preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen with knowledge of warehouse operations and P&L management.
• Proven leadership, time‑management and team‑development abilities.
• Experience delegating tasks and meeting operational targets.
• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environments.
