Operations Manager – Security

About the role

As the Operations Manager (Security) you will lead the Installation Department for the Vancouver branch, overseeing field staff and ensuring high‑quality security installations that meet client expectations. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will have full financial accountability for the security domain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain procedures and standards for quality installations.
• Monitor installation projects for on‑time and on‑budget performance.
• Supervise, coach, evaluate and discipline Operations personnel in line with company policies.
• Set short‑ and long‑term departmental goals aligned with corporate objectives.
• Determine staffing levels, forecast department needs and manage annual budgets.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility, generate revenue, control costs and analyse budget variances.
• Provide senior‑management reports on revenue forecasts and staff performance.
• Maintain accurate project data in shared systems and update departmental policies.
• Manage client communications, monitor satisfaction and resolve complaints or collection issues.
• Identify business‑development opportunities and support customer relationships.
• Promote a safety‑first culture and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Partner with HR for recruitment, training and career development of the team.
• Support the Service department and be on‑call for escalation of technician requests.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing installation or field‑service teams.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal reporting.
• Ability to develop and enforce policies, procedures and productivity standards.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
