Operations Manager

About the role

Opendoor is seeking a hands‑on Operations Manager to lead its Toronto‑based operations team. You will own team performance, shape operational processes, and integrate AI tools to scale efficiency while coaching specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coach a team of Operations Specialists, setting expectations and ensuring SLA compliance.
• Design, iterate, and document workflows in partnership with operations leads, leveraging AI tooling for continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex cases requiring advanced judgment.
• Coordinate cross‑functionally with acquisition, renovation, resale, and finance teams.
• Partner with R&D and AI teams to identify automation opportunities, test new tools, and provide feedback.
• Build and nurture a culture focused on speed, AI adoption, and constant improvement.
• Own the operational function for the Toronto office.

Required profile

• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work and able to coach others.
• Proven experience managing high‑volume, deadline‑driven operations teams.
• Experience building or scaling operations teams and establishing early culture.
• Strong operational instincts to spot workflow gaps and automation opportunities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across regions.
• High accountability, bias toward action, and ability to resolve problems proactively.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments and adapting to new systems.
