About the role
Priority Worldwide is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead its freight forwarding, brokerage and value‑added services division in Montreal. The role oversees operational, financial and commercial performance across air, ocean and domestic transportation, driving sales growth, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Review, revise and implement operational processes to deliver the ultimate customer experience.
- Stay current with DG, TSA, FMS and other relevant regulations.
- Handle individual import, export and domestic shipments as needed.
- Provide active leadership and coaching to staff, ensuring motivation and skill development.
- Manage workload distribution, guarantee timely client responses and adherence to established procedures.
- Assist in finalizing sales contracts and foster strong customer retention.
Required profile
- Minimum 7 + years of direct air and ocean import/export experience.
- At least 7 + years in senior or department‑level management with full branch‑level accountability.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Strong systems proficiency; CargoWise experience preferred.
- Customs Broker License is a strong asset (not required).
- Must be able to work on‑site in the Montreal office and have valid authorization to work in Canada.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CargoWise freight management system.
- In‑depth knowledge of DG, TSA and FMS regulations.
- Expertise in air and ocean import/export operations.
