On‑Call Team Leader – Community Group Care

About the role

Wood's Homes, a not‑for‑profit mental health centre, is seeking a full‑time On‑Call Team Leader for its Community Group Care Programs in Calgary. The role provides after‑hours leadership from Friday through Monday, ensuring rapid response to crises and smooth operation of 24/7 services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑line staff, approve hours, and maintain accurate schedules.
• Update case‑management documentation and conduct clinical and administrative supervisions.
• Answer crisis phone calls and manage staff sick calls during on‑call periods.
• Maintain program facilities and uphold program structure and integrity.
• Conduct probationary and annual performance evaluations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Social or Human Sciences.
• Minimum four years of experience working with children, youth, and families.
• Proven ability to manage crisis situations and assess risk.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed care, and family‑system interventions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing abilities.
• Current CPR/Standard First Aid certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and personal transportation.
