Offset Print Operator – Heidelberg (Day Shift)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Offset Print Operator to join our production team on the day shift. You will operate Heidelberg offset presses to deliver high‑quality printed products while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain Heidelberg sheet‑fed offset presses.
• Review job tickets, verify specifications, and ensure accurate colour matching.
• Perform press make‑readies, plate changes, wash‑ups, and routine adjustments.
• Monitor registration, ink density, and overall press performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and print‑quality issues to minimise downtime.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout each run.
• Execute routine preventative maintenance and basic equipment care.
• Maintain accurate production records and collaborate with Prepress, Bindery, Maintenance, and Production teams.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating Heidelberg offset presses.
• Experience with multi‑colour sheet‑fed offset printing.
• Strong understanding of colour management, ink control, registration, and print‑quality standards.
• Ability to read job specifications and production documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritise multiple jobs.
