Office Assistant – Lab Relocation Support

About the role

We are seeking an Office Assistant (C level) to support the relocation of a research laboratory from the Ludmer building to the new Duff building at McGill University. The role involves coordinating equipment deliveries, managing movers, and ensuring timely installation of both new and existing lab assets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of newly purchased equipment to the Duff laboratory.
• Liaise with McGill teams (MNI, Ernst, university professionals) to schedule equipment arrival and placement.
• Hire and manage moving contractors for the transfer of the Ludmer lab.
• Oversee installation of new equipment in the Duff lab and re‑installation of existing equipment from Ludmer.
• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure the move stays on schedule.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, office support, or equipment coordination.
• Proficiency in English (level 3 out of 4).
• Legal authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Availability for part‑time work (approximately 27 hours per week) from September to December 2026.
