Office Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Office Assistant to join our team in a retail/wholesale environment. The role is based on‑site and involves providing general administrative support, handling correspondence and assisting clients and the public with basic inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Type, proofread and manage correspondence, forms and other documents.
• Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries.
• Sort, process and verify applications, receipts and other paperwork.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, both manually and electronically.
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and data entry.
• Provide general information to clients and the public.
• File, label, store and retrieve documents and materials.
• Organise and schedule office work and maintain a tidy work area.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and capacity for repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work on‑site with no remote option.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word.
• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• Familiarity with Simply Accounting software.
• Basic knowledge of MS Windows and electronic mail.
