About the role
Join Kato's Nursery for seasonal work in a rural plant production environment. The role involves hands‑on tasks in a fast‑paced outdoor setting, working with coniferous and deciduous trees, ferns, perennials and ornamental shrubs. You will work outdoors, handling a variety of plant species and ensuring the nursery maintains high standards of cleanliness and plant health.
Key responsibilities
- Weeding and maintaining clean work areas.
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants.
- Pot and re‑pot plants, as well as transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings.
- Handle and transport plant material, including heavy loads up to 23 kg.
- Maintain tools and equipment, wearing safety boots and gloves.
Required profile
- No prior experience required – training will be provided.
- Physically demanding work: ability to lift up to 23 kg, stand for long periods, bend, crouch and kneel.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, repetitive environment with attention to detail.
