Nurse Practitioner - Virtual Integrated Clinical Service

About the role

The Virtual Integrated Clinical Service at Misericordia Health Centre is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team. This hybrid position allows you to provide advanced nursing care, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe medications, and perform minor procedures while supporting health promotion and illness prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced nursing and medical theory to deliver autonomous clinical care.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe pharmacologic agents and perform minor invasive procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and patients to solve clinical problems.
• Teach and mentor staff, contributing to professional development and knowledge advancement.

Required profile

• Master's of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner stream or equivalent approved by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Active registration on the RN Extended Practice Register of the CRNM.
• Active participation in professional associations preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Preference for competency in an Indigenous language or knowledge of Indigenous customs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Experience using word processing software.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with database applications.
