About the role

The Virtual Integrated Clinical Service at Misericordia Health Centre is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver autonomous, advanced nursing care in a hybrid setting. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on high‑quality, equitable health services for the Winnipeg region.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced nursing and medical theory to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor invasive procedures.
• Develop and share clinical knowledge, contributing to professional advancement.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate complex care plans while promoting health and preventing illness.
• Provide education and mentorship to staff and patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to solve clinical problems.
• Utilize systems‑based management to ensure effective care delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner stream or equivalent approved by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Active registration on the RN Extended Practice Register of the CRNM.
• Active participation in professional associations (preferred).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Preference for candidates competent in an Indigenous language or knowledgeable about Indigenous customs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Experience using word‑processing software.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with database applications.
