Nurse Practitioner – Student Health Services

About the role

The University of British Columbia Student Health Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive, client‑centred primary health care to its diverse student population. You will work both in‑person and virtually, collaborating within an interprofessional team to address a wide range of physical and mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary health care through in‑person and virtual visits, assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions, including mental health concerns.
• Coordinate internal and external referrals, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow‑up.
• Participate in health promotion, outreach, education, and quality‑improvement initiatives across campus.
• Contribute clinical leadership, maintain professional competence, and engage in committees and approved research projects.
• Integrate anti‑racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into all aspects of care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with full knowledge of BCCNM standards and UBC Student Health Service practice guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and continuous professional development.
