Nurse Practitioner – Health Links (Hybrid, Casual)

About the role

The Health Links team at Misericordia Health Centre is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary group delivering comprehensive health services across the Winnipeg Health Region. This casual, hybrid position allows you to work both on‑site and remotely while providing autonomous clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced nursing and medical theory to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor invasive procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and patients to develop and evaluate complex care plans.
• Provide problem‑solving support for staff and patients, and contribute to knowledge advancement in nursing practice.
• Teach and mentor junior staff as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner stream or equivalent approved by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Active registration on the RN Extended Practice (EP) Register of the CRNM.
• Active participation in professional associations (preferred).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Preference for candidates competent in an Indigenous language or knowledgeable about Indigenous customs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Experience using word‑processing software.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with database applications.
