Nurse II

About the role

The Nurse II provides comprehensive nursing care to patients, residents, and clients within Prairie Mountain Health facilities. This position operates in line with provincial standards, organisational policies, and the professional code of ethics for registered nurses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care in accordance with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba standards.
• Apply clinical judgment to make effective decisions regarding patient care.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and utilize computer‑based software programs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure positive outcomes for patients and families.
• Uphold professional ethics and regulatory requirements, including the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
• Participate in ongoing competency development and other duties as assigned by Prairie Mountain Health.

Required profile

• Active or eligible licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, organizational, and independent work abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive interpersonal skills and a satisfactory employment record.
