Join the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) in a pivotal role dedicated to improving public health outcomes for First Nations communities in British Columbia. As a Nurse Coordinator specializing in Tuberculosis (TB), you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and evaluating essential public health services to combat communicable diseases.
Missions principales
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of TB screening programs and case management protocols.
- Conduct thorough contact investigations and develop targeted community strategies for high-incidence areas.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the BCCDC, pharmacy services, laboratories, and community health nurses.
- Collaborate with clinical TB educators and surveillance specialists to drive service development and professional training.
- Partner with First Nations communities, organizations, and governmental/non-governmental stakeholders to ensure culturally safe and effective healthcare delivery.
Profil recherché
- Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent professional nursing qualification with specialized experience in public health.
- Proven expertise in infectious disease management, specifically regarding Tuberculosis (TB) protocols.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and with diverse community stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills to manage complex health programs.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working with Indigenous communities is highly preferred.
