Non-Teaching Assignment – MPP Bootcamp Instructor

About the role

The Max Bell School seeks a qualified professional to lead a one‑week bootcamp for the Master of Public Policy (MPP) orientation week. This non‑teaching assignment supports students’ understanding of quantitative methods and measurement concepts essential for public‑policy analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a five‑day intensive bootcamp covering basic mathematical notation, statistics, probability, measurement theory, sampling, survey design, and common policy metrics.
• Provide individualized or small‑group instructional support to enhance student comprehension.
• Ensure all sessions are conducted in person during the Orientation Week (August 17‑21, 2026).

Required profile

• Strong background in quantitative methods, statistics, or public‑policy measurement.
• Experience communicating complex concepts to graduate‑level students.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to work on the McGill campus in Quebec.
