NCAT Coordinator – Part Time

About the role

AVI Health & Community Services is seeking a part‑time NCAT Coordinator to support the Nanaimo Community Action Team (CAT). The role involves facilitating meetings, building partnerships, and advancing harm‑reduction and equity‑centered initiatives for people affected by HIV, HCV and substance use.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support regular Nanaimo CAT meetings, preparing agendas, materials, minutes and follow‑up documentation.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among CAT members, peer leaders and community partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with peer leadership, Indigenous partners and other stakeholders, promoting trauma‑informed and culturally safe collaboration.
• Plan, manage and support community engagement events and initiatives, assisting working groups with action‑plan development.
• Support funding applications, track project budgets, and maintain documentation aligned with reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant experience, education, training, or lived/living experience.
• Experience supporting or coordinating community tables or collaborative initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross‑sector relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Driver’s licence (highly recommended).
