National Account Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing consumer packaged goods company with a category‑leading brand in North America, is seeking a National Account Manager. The role will own key national retail relationships across Canada and the United States, driving growth, profitability and distribution expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow national retail and distributor relationships across major accounts.
• Own sales planning, forecasting, budgeting and account profitability.
• Lead customer negotiations on pricing, promotions and commercial agreements.
• Drive distribution growth, product launches and in‑store execution initiatives.
• Partner cross‑functionally with sales, marketing and operations teams to support growth objectives.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity and customer opportunities across the category.

Required profile

• 5+ years of account management experience within the CPG industry.
• Strong experience managing national retail accounts and distributor relationships.
• Deep understanding of grocery, convenience and retail sales environments.
• Commercial acumen with experience owning forecasts, budgets and sales plans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Comfort operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with strong ownership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or equivalent senior sales and management experience.
