Mid-Level Donor Advisor – Hybrid (Burlington, ON)

About the role

The Mid-Level Donor Advisor will manage a portfolio of mid-level donors (annual giving $1,000–$5,000) and drive cultivation, solicitation, and retention activities. Reporting to the Donor Relations Director, this hybrid position supports revenue growth while building the competencies needed for future Major Gifts and Planned Giving roles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and steward a designated donor portfolio with personalized communication and a clear stewardship strategy.
• Develop and execute individualized annual engagement plans, including cultivation events, solicitation timelines, and follow‑up actions.
• Segment donors by interests and giving behavior to deliver tailored reports, newsletters, and ministry updates.
• Collaborate with the Planned Giving Manager to identify legacy‑giving prospects and refer them appropriately.
• Coordinate donor cultivation events with internal teams, especially during field staff connection tours.
• Maintain accurate records of all donor interactions in the CRM system and generate regular reports.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools and Salesforce to enhance donor research, personalize communications, and improve planning while respecting data‑privacy standards.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related nonprofit field.
• Proven ability to build one‑to‑one relationships and move donors through a cultivation pipeline.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using donor data to prioritize outreach and identify upgrade opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Salesforce (or comparable CRM platform).
• Use of AI‑enabled research and communication tools.
