Metallurgy Operator – Night Shift

About the role

Safran Landing Systems is looking for a Metallurgy Operator to work the night shift at its Mirabel plant. You will support the production of landing‑gear components for Airbus and Boeing aircraft by performing a range of metallurgical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble landing‑gear parts for heat‑treatment or shot‑peening processes.
• Execute heat‑treatment and shot‑peening cycles according to specifications.
• Conduct laboratory tests such as hardness, tensile and saturation measurements.
• Perform non‑destructive magnetic testing and visual inspections to verify compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on the shop floor.
• Complete required quality‑assurance documentation.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, safety, quality, cost and on‑time delivery goals.

Required profile

• College studies in metallurgy (DEC/AEC) or DEP in foundry, mechanical or structural aerospace assembly, welding‑assembly, or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience as a metallurgy operator.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and results‑oriented attitude.
