Metal Fabrication Labourer

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Labourer to support our metal fabrication operations in Québec. You will work in a dusty, hot, and noisy industrial environment, handling a variety of tasks that keep the production line running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other residues.
• Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant using powered equipment, forklifts, or manually.
• Assist structural steel fitters, sheet‑metal workers, and other metal tradespeople.
• Sort metal sheets, parts, scrap, and other materials.
• Grind or chip excess metal using hand tools.
• Clean machines and work areas, and read and interpret work orders.
• Load and unload vehicles, handle drill pipes, tools, cement, and other supplies.
• Oversee receipt, sorting, routing, and delivery of mail and materials.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a metal‑fabrication or industrial setting.
• Physically demanding work with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Dependable, flexible, reliable team player with good oral communication.

• Operation of metal cleaning equipment.

• Reading and interpreting technical documents and work orders.
