MERN Stack Developer (Hybrid, Toronto)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced MERN Stack Developer to join our Toronto team on a hybrid schedule. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js, while collaborating closely with product, design and engineering colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using the MERN stack.
• Create responsive, user‑friendly front‑end interfaces with React.js.
• Build secure, scalable back‑end services with Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, optimise and manage MongoDB databases.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third‑party services.
• Write clean, reusable code and perform unit testing and code reviews.
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimise application performance.
• Ensure security, scalability and reliability of deployed solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of professional experience developing MERN‑based applications.
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment (Tuesday‑Thursday, 8:30 AM‑5:00 PM EST).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging capabilities.
