Medical‑Surgical Nursing Instructor (Full‑Time)

About the role

West Coast University seeks a passionate Medical‑Surgical Instructor to mentor and educate nursing students. You will guide learners through both classroom and clinical experiences, helping them develop the skills needed to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor, role model, and facilitator for student learning.
• Deliver course content using diverse teaching methodologies and maintain up‑to‑date syllabi.
• Participate in curriculum assessment, continuous improvement, and scholarly activities.
• Utilize simulation and innovation labs to enhance hands‑on learning.
• Assume full responsibility for students in clinical settings, clarify expectations, assess performance, and provide timely feedback.

Required profile

• Clinical RN with at least two years of direct patient‑care experience.
• Minimum one year of experience teaching or precepting in the field you will instruct.
• Compliance knowledge of state, federal, and Board of Nursing regulations.
• Ability to work with online learning management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
