Medical Scientist – HIV (Quebec)

About the role

Gilead Sciences Canada is seeking a motivated Medical Scientist to join its HIV therapeutic area team in Quebec. The position is full‑time, field‑based and requires up to 70% travel, supporting medical education and stakeholder engagement across the Greater Montreal area.

Key responsibilities

• Implement goals and objectives aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan for HIV treatment and prevention.
• Present scientific and clinical data on Gilead products and key HIV topics to healthcare providers, the HIV community, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Respond to on‑ and off‑label clinical inquiries related to Gilead’s HIV portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Research, Global Safety and Global Medical Affairs.
• Travel frequently to appointments, meetings and conferences, often on short notice.
• Anticipate field obstacles and resolve them collaboratively while upholding Gilead’s core values of integrity, inclusion, teamwork, accountability and excellence.

Required profile

• Full‑time Medical Scientist or Senior Medical Scientist role in the HIV therapeutic area.
• Residency in the Greater Montreal Area.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage extensive travel.
• Strong scientific knowledge of HIV treatment and prevention.
