About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Palmerston & District Hospital is seeking a temporary part‑time Medical Radiation Technologist. You will deliver high‑quality imaging services while supporting the hospital’s mission of excellent, compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with professional standards.
• Mentor and supervise students on clinical placements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal imaging outcomes.
• Adhere to WHCA core values and union (OPSEU) guidelines.

Required profile

• Current CMRITO designation.
• Active membership with CAMRT; OAMRT is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage conflicting demands, and meet physical job requirements.

Required skills

• Operation of diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and patient positioning.
