Medical Orderly

About the role

The Auberge Aux Trois Pignons Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Orderly to join its team in a nursing home environment. You will support patient comfort and safety while working in a fast‑paced, urban setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Supply and empty bed pans, serve meals, and feed patients as needed.
• Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely, following Moving Patients Safety Principles.
• Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and answer call signals to determine needs.
• Administer first aid, CPR, suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas.
• Make beds, maintain patient rooms, and deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in a nursing home or similar health‑care setting.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and various shifts.
• Physical ability to handle loads over 45 kg, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive movements.
• Client‑focused, dependable, and able to work well in a team.
