About the role

The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) supports the Gateway Team-Based Care Teaching Clinic by providing essential clinical and administrative services. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the MOA ensures smooth patient flow and high‑quality record keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clerical medical office duties, including patient assessments and preparation for procedures.
• Maintain a highly confidential electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Handle correspondence and communication with patients, caregivers, learners, faculty, and staff.
• Support the Clinic Manager and collaborate with internal and external partners across the Lower Mainland and BC.
• Assist with scheduling, intake, and documentation for clinic visits.

• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy in record keeping.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet employment‑equity standards.
