Mechanical & Piping Field Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical & Piping Field Engineer will join Bantrel's construction team on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine project in Leroy, Saskatchewan. Working on a 14‑day on/7‑day off camp rotation, you will ensure that all mechanical and piping work aligns with the design intent and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of mechanical and piping installations.
• Participate in construction walk‑downs and verify compliance with design documents.
• Collaborate with the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and Hatch Bantrel Joint Venture to resolve technical issues.
• Document findings and provide feedback to engineering and construction teams.
• Support safe and efficient execution of the EPC scope for the potash mine.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical or Piping Engineer with experience in construction environments.
• Ability to work in a remote camp setting on a rotating schedule.
• Strong understanding of EPC processes and mechanical design intent.
• Effective communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams.
