Mechanical Engineer – Aerodynamics

About the role

Transtex is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Aerodynamics team in Montreal. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing high‑performance trailer skirts and fairings that reduce fuel consumption and emissions for semi‑trailer fleets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize aerodynamic trailer skirts, fairings, and related components.
• Perform CFD simulations and aerodynamic analyses to improve product performance.
• Program and optimize waterjet cutting processes using G‑code.
• Develop innovative product concepts from idea through to production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to create cost‑effective, production‑ready designs.
• Participate in prototyping, testing, and continuous product improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics and airflow behavior.
• Creative, hands‑on problem solver with an innovative mindset.
