Mechanical Draftsperson

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsperson to join our industrial design team at Tri‑Volt Industries in Saint‑Léonard, QC. The successful candidate will create detailed engineering drawings, develop design sketches, and support the production of appliance components in an interior industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs and detailed drawings.
• Develop and prepare design sketches.
• Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates.
• Write technical specifications.
• Examine drawings for conformity and errors.
• Consult with clients, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements.
• Support fabrication and electro‑mechanical drafting activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting.
• Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
• SOLIDWORKS Certification and Drafting Trade Certification.
• Experience in fabrication and electro‑mechanical drafting.
• Strong attention to detail, organized and a team player.
• Own computer as primary tool.
