Mechanical CAD/BIM Technician – Water Projects

About the role

Stantec is looking for a Mechanical CAD/BIM Technician to support water‑related projects across municipal, commercial and industrial sectors. The role will involve creating and managing detailed Revit models and drawings while ensuring compliance with company and client standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and Revit models for water infrastructure projects.
• Apply and maintain Revit, CAD standards, and QA/QC procedures throughout the drawing lifecycle.
• Coordinate drawing sets with project managers, engineers and other technical staff.
• Produce presentation graphics and documentation for client meetings.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously across North America.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated team player comfortable with collaborative, multi‑project environments.
• Willingness to work from Stantec Prairies offices (Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba) with flexible hybrid arrangements.
• Strong understanding of drafting practices and BIM workflows.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit for mechanical design.
• Experience with CAD platforms and drafting standards.
• Knowledge of QA/QC processes for engineering drawings.
