Meat Sales/Service Clerk (Tier II)

About the role

As a Meat Sales/Service Clerk you will ensure the meat and seafood department is fresh, well‑stocked and inviting for customers in a Safeway store in Winnipeg. You will provide friendly service, prepare and price products, and maintain clean and organized displays.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and provide courteous service.
• Write orders, receive and rotate product deliveries.
• Fill meat and seafood counters and showcases, using hand wrappers and scales.
• Price meats and seafood accurately.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, handling both raw and cooked seafood.

Required profile

• Quick learner able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly motivated, team‑oriented with strong customer service focus.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a cold environment and lift up to 20 lb regularly (occasionally up to 50 lb).
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and Sundays.
