Materials Scientist

About the role

The research institute is seeking a Materials Scientist to lead studies on metals, alloys, ceramics and composite materials. The role is based in a clean‑room laboratory and requires on‑site presence, with the possibility of relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experimental and theoretical studies on the properties and production processes of metals and alloys.
• Research the composition, behavior and manufacturing techniques of ceramics and composite materials.
• Perform testing and evaluation of material samples to validate performance criteria.
• Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) to model material behavior under various conditions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an industrial R&D environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in basic, theoretical or applied research.
• Willingness to relocate and work in a clean‑room laboratory setting.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, meet tight deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
