Material Planner

About the role

Leclerc is seeking a Material Planner to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw ingredients to its production lines across North America. Working closely with the purchasing coordinator, buyers, and production planning teams, you will manage daily material needs and support continuous improvement of the procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize and resolve supply issues to meet tight production schedules.
• Process orders for assigned commodities and monitor their status.
• Share production‑plan information with stakeholders and keep them informed.
• Support buyers in supplier evaluations and manage merchandise returns.
• Maintain performance indicators and update MRP system parameters.
• Control inventory levels, addressing surpluses or deficits promptly.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement projects within procurement.

Required profile

• DEC or equivalent AEC in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills and bilingual proficiency (English‑French).
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with integrated ERP systems is an asset.
