Material Handler

About the role

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our warehouse team. You will be responsible for picking, packing and shipping customer orders, as well as receiving, verifying and storing incoming vendor material and returns. The role requires a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate shipments and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks safely, operating a forklift and other material‑handling equipment.
• Receive vendor shipments and customer returns, verify packing slips, record discrepancies and initiate freight claims.
• Enter received material into the computer system and store items in the correct locations.
• Pick items for customer orders, count and compare them to shipping documentation, assemble and pack material for pickup or delivery.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift and move goods.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Use of material‑handling equipment.
• Basic computer data entry for inventory/receiving systems.
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips and shipping documents.
