Material Handler & Customer Service – Counter Sales

About the role

Join a fifth‑generation family‑owned electrical distributor as a Material Handler and Customer Service representative. You will be the first point of contact for branch customers, handling order assembly, shipping, receiving and providing tailored product solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review stock, assemble orders, pack and ship items accurately.
• Receive and process inbound shipments, maintain inventory records.
• Interact with customers at the counter, provide quotations, troubleshoot issues and recommend products.
• Manage priority orders and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and keep the work area organized.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of customer service experience (preferred).
• 2+ years in the electrical or lighting industry (preferred).
• Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
