About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic team members to join our Stone Crock Market in St. Jacobs. The role involves providing friendly customer service, handling food items and maintaining a clean store environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Close the store as required
- Stock and organize shelves
- Assist customers with their needs and requests
- Slice meats and cheeses to order
- Answer the phone and assist with customer inquiries
- Perform various cleaning tasks
- Organize and rotate products
- Perform light food preparation
- Operate equipment such as slicer, food scale and cash register
Required profile
- Safe Food Handler's Certificate and Smart Serve certification (or obtain before starting)
- Able to lift 20‑30 pounds
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Endure long hours of standing and walking
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
Required skills
- Operation of a slicer
- Use of a food scale
- Cash register handling
