Manufacturing Test System Architect

About the role

Reporting to the Lead Electronics Engineer, you will define and develop the overall test station architecture, ensuring consistency, modularity, and reusability across all test stations. The role bridges hardware, software, and mechanical subsystems to support product development and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design modular, scalable test platforms covering hardware, software, and mechanical subsystems.
• Translate stakeholder and product requirements into system‑level architecture, specifications, and documentation.
• Establish test strategies, coverage requirements, standards, methods, and tools for development and manufacturing.
• Standardize interfaces between test fixtures, instrumentation, and software to maximize reusability.
• Lead design reviews, ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and suppliers to deliver cost‑effective testing solutions.
• Incorporate advanced data acquisition and analytics for real‑time monitoring and quality control.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years experience in test system architecture or automated test equipment (ATE) design.
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with modular platform design for manufacturing test environments.

Required skills

• In‑circuit test (ICT), functional test, and boundary‑scan methodologies.
• System‑level design integrating hardware, software, and mechanical disciplines.
• Safety and reliability standards knowledge.
• Requirements management tools proficiency.
• Modular, scalable test platform architecture.
• Data acquisition and analytics for test systems.
