Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

About the role

Mastercard, together with its subsidiary Ethoca, is looking for a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering to lead globally distributed application operations teams. You will oversee 24/7 support for mission‑critical Java applications running on‑premises and in Azure public cloud, ensuring security, resilience and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage globally distributed teams that operate Java‑based applications across on‑premises and Azure environments.
• Provide coaching, mentorship and escalation support for complex technical issues.
• Establish sustainable incident‑management practices, including blameless post‑incident reviews.
• Champion observability using Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Splunk, Zabbix or similar tools.
• Partner with stakeholders to design, implement and optimise secure end‑to‑end solutions.
• Lead PCI‑DSS, SOC 2 audits and annual disaster‑recovery exercises.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining business‑as‑usual operations.
