Manager, Risk Data & Model Implementation

About the role

Join EQ Bank as a Manager of Risk Data & Model Implementation, leading the delivery and monitoring of credit risk models across the enterprise. You will bridge risk, data, and technology teams to ensure accurate, efficient model deployment and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead model implementation and monitoring for AIRB, ICAAP and IFRS 9 models, translating requirements into production specifications and working with IT and business teams.
• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines to load and transform external data, provide summary statistics and ad‑hoc analysis for model development and validation.
• Build and maintain APIs and GUIs for model monitoring frameworks, conduct end‑to‑end testing and ensure accurate data flow across applications.
• Develop and document model specifications, production data attestations and support client relationship management with model development and validation teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in risk model development or implementation within banks or fintechs, with a solid understanding of credit risk model lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Basel AIRB CAR guidelines, OSFI implementation notes, BCBS‑239, and principles of AIRB, IFRS 9 and ICAAP.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities to convey risk insights to senior management.
